Frequently asked questions
Is a credit card required to start?
No. Your first month is free on every plan and you sign up with just your name, email and a password — no card. You only add payment details if you decide to continue after the free month.
Do my clients need to download an app or create an account?
No. Clients book through your public link and manage everything — choosing appointment times, paying deposits, signing consent forms — through secure links sent to their email. No accounts, no passwords, no app.
What happens after my free month?
Your first month is completely free on every plan. After that, you pay the monthly price for your plan. You can cancel anytime — your data stays exportable.
How do deposits work?
You set a deposit amount (fixed or percentage) per quote. Clients pay online when they confirm their appointment, and the slot is only locked in once payment succeeds. You can also record cash and bank-transfer payments manually.
Is there a mobile app?
Tattivo runs in your phone’s browser and installs to your home screen like an app — no App Store or Play Store download. The calendar has an agenda view built for one-handed use between sessions.
What about my guest artists?
Guest spots are part of the workflow — you can add guest artists to your studio and give them their own calendar. If you’re unsure how guests fit your plan, message us before you sign up and we’ll set it up with you.
Can I move my existing clients over?
Yes. Client records can be created directly, and if you’re coming from a spreadsheet we’ll help you move your clients over personally. CSV export means your data is never locked in.
Is it really built for tattoo studios, not generic bookings?
Entirely. Cover-up flags, placement and size fields, reference photo uploads, multi-session projects, healed-photo follow-ups, drawn-signature consent forms — the whole workflow is tattoo-specific.
Is my data secure?
Every record is isolated per studio with database-level row security. Photos and signed consents live in private storage behind expiring signed URLs. Payments are processed by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.
